Very cool inside info. Just a shame that rotary dial phones are now hard to find, and if you buy one, you have to pay “collectors” prices.

You do know that if you use a rotary phone and call a call centre you go directly though to a real person right? The systems recognise that you can’t key in options.

I think that eventually, we will just be texting without knowing it.
We kind of do already anyway, when we update our statuses in Facebook & Twitter.

Very true. Most of them would be trying to press the numbers, I bet.

And I estimate 70% of them would get their fingers stuck in the dial when it rotates back to the start position.
Actually, that would be pretty funny…..
